The Desire For Colour

The Desire For Colour is a project that explores the depth of colour, questioning how important it is when contributing to our emotions and personal experiences. Why do certain colours make us feel a certain way? Is colour truly as important as we think it is? Could we live without colour?

This video, created in After Effects, uses multiple footages to pull along the viewer on a trip through multiple waves of colour and audio, emphasising a euphoric feeling and provides the viewer with a sense of belonging as we slowly realise that without colour, we would feel a longing emptiness.
